It's a new year, and once again I've found myself not keeping up with FLPW streams. I really want to do them, but they are a lot of effort for what seems like very little payoff. However, I'm going to try to not let that discourage me too much.
Fictional Live Pro Wrestling will resume streams over at my twitch channel starting February 3rd. Streams will be once a week starting at 7pmEST, and will go until all the scheduled matches are completed.
Previous FLPW streams have been seven-match long affairs the generally end up being two-and-a-half hours. In order to prevent myself from being burned out by keeping up with lengthy regular streams, FLPW will be focusing on shorter streams with less matches, but will attempt to make up for it with broadcasting matches that are easier to be invested in.
The last Saturday of each month will be a “special” that are longer streams, exactly like how Show of the Masters and Winter War were in 2016. Generally, almost every title will defended during these streams. The first of these specials, Return to Form is scheduled for February 24th. Also planned is the 4th Full-Roster Double Elimination Tournament, but I have a feeling it won’t be for some time.
Here's hoping for a more consistent direction for the FLPW!

The 3rd Single-Elimination Tournament: Day 3 Recap
Three days of the 3rd Single Elimination Tournament down, one more to go. Last night's stream wrapped up round two of the tournament, where viewers got to watch some of the most interesting victories of the tournament so far.
The eight wrestlers moving on are Sergei Alkaev, who pinned Marcus Gravy after about eight thousand top rope suplexes; current National US Champion of America Saxxymus, after a very exciting comeback against Eddie Chumbo; Maximilian Wolf, pinning Hunter Hardgold after a mediocre bout; Adam Pubert, who scored a huge win against current World's Bestest Champion of the World Chris Furious with a single Executioner's Axe Kick; Dominic Pelletier, moving on after a ridiculous match against Velze Formadill; and finally Adam Roggeveen, who won a hard fought bout against John Polak.
Adam Pubert looks like he has a juicy title shot against Chris Furious ahead of him, but it seems that more eyes will be on his quarterfinals opponent, Dominic Pelletier. Nobody predicted he would get this far in the tournament, and his other compatriots in the Canadian division (Johnny Talladega and Adam Roggeveen) are fighting each other. Dominic has the hardest match ahead of him in the form of Executioner member Adam Pubert, but another clutch win for him here and Pelletier will surely have a title opportunity in no time.
Another match to look forward to will be Maximilian Wolf facing Laine Whitaker. Wolf has been handily taking out his competition so far, but Laine has scored (literally) huge victories in the tournament over previous World's Bestest Champion of the World Ken Nakano, and the beast of V-Nation: El Koogs. Hopefully that match will live up to its full potential.
The final tournament stream starts tonight at 8:00pmEST over at twitch.tv/thatguy4878, where the winner will finally be crowned!

The 3rd Single-Elimination Tournament: Day 2 Recap
With day two of the 3rd Single-Elimination Tournament over, sixteen wrestlers have moved on to round two.
Memorable moments include Chris Furious defeating Mitchell Cooper after a hilariously botched finish, and John Polak's key reversal that led to the winning heel kick against Alan Morrison in an extremely close match.
Although the second half of round one did not have as many upsets as Thursday had, a huge exception was Dominic Pelletier, who picked up a massive victory over Vancouver native and top pick Joshua Ferguson. Pelletier has been languishing in the Canadian division, unable to pick up key wins to launch himself into title contention. With the current International Canadian Champion of the World, Roger Olson, on the sidelines after being eliminated by Johnny Talladega, any and all wins by wrestlers in the division will skyrocket their chances to the number one contender spot. Dominic might have the chance he's been looking for.
Matches to look forward to in round two of the tournament include Laine Whitaker's underdog adventure though the bracket against El Koogs, Dominic Pelletier keeping the dream alive against Velze Formadill, and a classic grudge bout between enemies Jordan Wassink and Johnny Talladega.
The tournament continues on twitch.tv/thatguy4878 starting at 8:00pmEST, with all eight matches of round two.

The 3rd Single-Elimination Tournament: Day 1 Recap
After what feels to be a half-year hiatus, the FLPW has once again rolled out one if its most popular institutions: the single-elimination tournament. Split up across four days, the event marks the first anniversary of FLPW on twitch.
Day One concluded with the first batch of eight matches from round one last night, and if the showings tonight offer hints of what's to come, this tournament is going to be full of good matches and severe upsets.
To talk about the former, match of the night went to Jacob Drummond and Adam Pubert for their knock-out brawl with blood, sweat, and reversed finishers. Even though it ended with the referee not seeing a rope break, it was a brutal match that was impossible to tell who would win.
To talk about the latter, you'd be hard pressed to find a match tonight that you could not justify as an upset. Marcus Gravy dominated previous tournament winner Salty Marcellus, Hunter Hardgold rolling up former tournament finalist Tyler T-Man into a small package, Laine Whitaker pinning Ken Nakano, and crowd-favourite Adam Roggeveen powered though to windmill slam Anthony Brown for the win. Something of note is that, of all the previous wrestlers that have made it to a tournament final, none of them made it to round two. Jacob Drummond, Salty Marcellus, and Tyler T-Man all fell. The only one who remains to fight tomorrow is Eddie Chumbo, more so than any previous tournament alumni, you could easily say nobody wants him to proceed.
The second half of round one airs tonight at twitch.tv/thatguy4878 at 8:00pmEST.
